World D is the fifth and final secret world and the thirteenth and final world that was featured in the game Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Like the other secret worlds, it was left unused in Super Mario Bros. Deluxe. When Bowser is defeated at the end of World D-4, Princess Peach is saved, and, as such, Mario and Luigi beat the game.

Level information[edit]

Level Preview Description
World D-1 World D-1.PNG A level similar to World 8-1. In the original FCD version, it is a snowy level, but in the SNES remake, it is a grassy level.
World D-2 World D-2.PNG This level includes several upside down Piranha Plants, a Coin Heaven that sends the player backwards in the level a bit, and a tricky trampoline jump at the end.
World D-3 World D-3.PNG A level which has a brick wall in the background similar to World 8-3. It has many Bill Blasters and Hammer Bros. In Super Mario All-Stars, the wall is gone so the Brick Blocks are replaced with Hidden Blocks.
World D-4 World 8-4Prev.PNG A castle which starts out like World 8-4, but there are only 5 Fire Bars that Mario or Luigi needs to avoid. The player is also taken to an overworld section which has wind and a variety of enemies, and a long jump to the Warp Pipe. There are also Bloopers floating in the air and a Fake Bowser.
