Hello, Peach! is a free application aimed at young children released for the Nintendo Switch on October 5, 2026,[A] simultaneously with Hello, Luigi! Together with Hello, Mario!, Hello, Yoshi!, and Hello, Luigi!, it is part of the My Mario series. The player can interact with Princess Peach's face by pulling it or turning it around on the screen, and Peach will react in various ways based on the player's input. An internet connection is not required to play. Like the previous games, Hello, Peach! runs at a higher resolution and supports frame rates up to 120 frames per second when played on Nintendo Switch 2. Versions for iOS and Android are planned to be released at a later date.[2]
Overview[edit]
Upon starting the application, Peach's face appears from below the screen, with the player having to pull her up from her crown. The player can then interact with Peach in various ways, such as pulling on her facial features. They can also press, pull, or rotate parts of her face for some unique interactions. These interactions will be done automatically if the player leaves the game idle.
- Pulling up Peach's crown will remove it from Peach. If the crown is discarded, after a while, it will be replaced by a tiara resembling Tiara. A Blooper or Super Star will occasionally be present under the crown.
- Pulling both sides of Peach's bangs or hair and letting go will cause them to change into wild or curly shapes, depending on where they are let go. Pressing on Peach's bangs will cause her to momentarily remove her crown and show it to the player, while pressing on her hair will cause her to either pull on it with her hands, or cause a haircomb to appear from above.
- Pressing on Peach's ears will either make her pull her ears with her hands, or briefly remove one of her earrings. Pulling on her earrings and removing them will cause them to be replaced with pink diamond-shaped ones.
- Pressing on Peach's nose several times will make her sneeze and briefly warp the shape of her bangs or hair. Doing so while Peach is enlarged by a Super Mushroom will cause either coins, Koopa Shells, or a single Super Mushroom to fall from the top of the screen. Pulling Peach's nose will instead make her bounce around the screen.
- Pressing on Peach's eyes will make sunglasses appear from above and land on Peach or make her play peekaboo with the player.
- Pressing on Peach's mouth will either make her whistle a note, or blow a kiss and wave at the player.
- Rotating Peach's face will make her dizzy. Sliding it while in this state will make Peach bounce around the screen and make bubbles appear, with some containing Goombas and Bob-ombs (as well as Green Shells and Cheep Cheeps if Peach is under the effects of a Super Star). Hitting the bubbles with Peach will increase a number. Hitting 100 bubbles makes one big bubble with confetti inside appear. After popping it, Peach congratulates the player.
- Pressing the
,
,
, or
buttons or any of the
directional buttons will play a sound effect, causing Peach's face to vibrate.
If the player has been playing for a while, Peach will become sleepy and they will not be able to play any longer unless they close and reopen the application, as a way to encourage children to take a break.[2] This can be disabled by holding or
while holding
or
when Peach's crown first appears on the bottom of the screen.[3]
The player can scan the Wood Block Mario, Yoshi, or Luigi amiibo to play with that character's face. The Wood Block Toad amiibo can also be scanned to make a Super Mushroom appear.
[edit]
On the top-left corner of the screen, the player can press on a ? Block icon to access the following options. Like the previous interactions, these will be done automatically if the player leaves the game idle.
- Peach: Allows the player to play peekaboo with Peach. A Boo occasionally makes an appearance. If the Boo gets close enough to Peach, it will steal her crown and fly away.
- ? Block: A ? Block appears on the screen. It can be touched to make coins come out. Sometimes, it will also release a Super Mushroom or a Super Star.
- Super Mushroom: A Super Mushroom appears on screen. Giving it to Peach will make her bigger. This allows her to pop bubbles more easily while bouncing around the screen.
- Super Star: A Super Star will appear on screen and start circling around Peach. Giving it to her makes her invincible. This allows her to move faster while bouncing around the screen.
- Warp Pipe: A Warp Pipe appears, which sucks Peach off the screen if she approaches it or if the pipe is pressed. Two scenarios can then happen: the player has to find Peach from one of three pipes, with the other two containing enemies, or a pipe will appear and shoot out Peach when touched.
- Blooper: A Blooper appears on screen and covers Peach in ink if pressed. Launching Peach around the screen while in this state will make her leave a trail of ink behind. A Blooper Nanny along with its Blooper Babies will appear if Peach is enlarged with a Super Mushroom. It can be defeated by giving Peach a Super Star or by pulling Peach's nose and launching her.
- Cheep Cheep: A Cheep Cheep appears and hits Peach, making her smaller. If Peach hits a bubble containing an enemy while in the small state, she will fly out of the screen, which will require the player to pull her up by her crown again. It can be defeated by giving Peach a Super Star or by pulling Peach's nose and launching her.
- Note Block: The background and music changes to an underwater background with "Underwater BGM" from Super Mario Bros., an enemy pattern background with "Title BGM" from Super Mario World, and the default blank background with "Ground BGM" from Super Mario Bros. Peach sings the intro of each music track when switching.
- Toad with camera: Toad appears on the bottom-left with a camera and a 3-second countdown starts, after which a screenshot of the screen is taken. The last-taken screenshot can be viewed by selecting it from the right of the ? Block menu.
- amiibo: The player is prompted to touch a Wood Block Mario, Yoshi, or Luigi amiibo to the NFC reader. Doing so will allow them to play with another character's face.
