Bouncing blade

The bouncing blade[1] (also described as a spike creature[2]) is an object that appears inside the second jar of World 5-2 in Super Mario Advance. It is a light-blue pointy object that lies on the ground, expanding and contracting repeatedly. If a playable character touches it, they lose a heart point. The bouncing blade cannot be taken out by normal means, as it is immune to the nearby vegetable and POW Block that can be plucked out of the floor and thrown at it.[3] However, if the Starman's effect is applied to the character, the object will be knocked out just like any other enemy when ran into.[4] It is worth no points.
