Mario Madness: A Super Mario Bros. 2 Carnival is an event sponsored by Nintendo of America that occurred in the Desert Inn at Las Vegas, Nevada on January 8, 1989 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.[1] It is based on Super Mario Bros. 2. According to a flyer promoting the event, it featured the "fearless" Mario, the "death-defying" Luigi, the "unstoppable" Toad, and the "ever-lovely" Princess Toadstool. The event also featured "fantasic" carnival attractions, custom cocktails, and buffet dining. Tickets for the event would be sent out by mail. No images or photos of the event have resurfaced, making information difficult to come by.
