At the event's lighting ceremony on November 1, mascots of Mario and Luigi were present on stage to count down to the lighting of the decorations. Additionally, a Super Mario Bros. medley was performed by the British brass band Fukuoka Flourish Brass.[2]

Two of the ten highlights of the event are themed on the Super Mario franchise: the Symbol Tree (シンボルツリー, Shinboru Tsurī) and the LED Sky Walk.[1] The Symbol Tree is decorated with 2D artwork of various objects including a Mushroom, a coin, a Super Star, Mario and Luigi's caps, snowmen of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, and Yoshi, a ? Block, a Fire Flower, a Goomba, Green and Red Shells, a Yoshi's Egg, and a Super Bell. The LED Sky Walk features a scrolling animation of the same objects.

Inside the mall and station itself, four Super Mario "holiday spots" were set up, consisting in a display facing the station's atrium, a photo spot at the station's main entrance, and decorations at the mall's entrances and atrium.[1]

At the Christmas market, a Super Mario-themed version of the event's commemorative mug can be bought for ¥1,500 starting from November 14 (excluding November 15 and 16). The mug depicts the same artwork of snowmen of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, and Yoshi featured on the decorations.[3]
