Mario Kart 7 Cycle Slam 2012 was an event held by Nintendo UK in 2012. The event served as a promotion for both Mario Kart 7 and the Dallaglio Flintoff Cycle Slam 2012, a charity bicycle ride across Europe by Lawrence Dallaglio and Andrew Flintoff.
Details[edit]
At the event, participants were able to try many of Mario Kart 7's features. These include online multiplayer and local multiplayer against other people attending the event. If participants brought their Nintendo 3DS with them to the event, they could collect StreetPass data from others at the event,[1] and also load Friend and Community codes. Every track in the game could be played at the event, and all of the characters, items, and kart features were unlocked.[1] Players could also race against the times of Lawrence and Andrew in the "Hero Challenge", for which they could win prizes. The person with the fastest lap each day won a Pizza Express voucher,[1] and the overall winner won a Mario Kart 7 racing chair.[1]
