Universal Fan Fest Nights
Universal Fan Fest Nights is a yearly event taking place at Universal Studios Hollywood on select nights from April to May. It is similar to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights event, but is instead themed around various licenses present at the theme park. At Super Nintendo World, some Yoshi-themed experiences were set up for the event.[1]
Super Nintendo World experiences[edit]
2025[edit]
For the first year of the event, a meet-and-greet character of Yoshi was added to the park near Peach's Castle where Toad is normally meetable. In addition, the event included a Yoshi's Egg hunt activity. To participate in the activity, participants had to first get a paper headband, which came in variations with artwork of Yoshi, Light-blue Yoshi, or Pink Yoshi and included hints on where to find the eggs. Participants then had to find five hidden Yoshi's Eggs around Super Nintendo World. When an egg was found, a sticker of that egg was added to the headband. The following is all five Yoshi's Eggs hidden in the area:[2]
| Image | Color | Hint | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red | Placed high & dry | Next to a pyramid in the desert-themed area above 1-UP Factory | |
| Light-blue | Upstairs in cold air | In the glacier-themed area, near the binoculars | |
| Pink | High above Peach's reach | Between a Piranha Plant and a tree above the location where Princess Peach is meetable | |
| Yellow | Hidden from light's sight | Under a group of Brick Blocks in the underground area to the right of Peach's Castle | |
| Green | Where two bros pose | In the bushes behind the location where Mario and Luigi are meetable |
Once all eggs were found, participants received a final golden Yoshi sticker, and they were given the opportunity to meet meet-and-greet characters of a Light-blue or Pink Yoshi in the Yoshi-themed area of the queue of Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge.[2]
A drone show was also planned, but it was canceled due to regulation changes.[3]
2026[edit]
Similarly to the previous year, the 2026 experiences at Super Nintendo World are also Yoshi-themed and mainly consist in character meet-and-greets.[4] In addition to Light-blue and Pink Yoshi from the previous year, which can now be met by anyone, Yellow and Purple Yoshi are also present.[5] Their locations were also changed:[6]
- Light-blue Yoshi is meetable to the right of the entrance to Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge.
- Pink Yoshi is meetable at the gazebo where Princess Peach is normally meetable.
- Yellow Yoshi is meetable to the left of the entrance to Bowser Jr. Shadow Showdown.
- Purple Yoshi is meetable in the center of Super Nintendo World where Mario and Luigi are normally meetable.
A new puzzle was also set up, which consists in participants answering questions and writing the correct words in a pamphlet to obtain a password. Paper headbands coming in variations with all of the event's Yoshi colors were also available to participants, which serves no functional purpose to the scavenger hunt in comparison to the prior year. The following is all questions and answers, with the letters required to form the password highlighted in bold:[7]
- See the big castle? The scary face on it belongs to... "BOWSER"
- What's the last word Bowser Jr. scribbled on the princess's door? "GOT!"
- Find Mario's flagpole and flip the letter on it! "W"
- Getting hungry? Find this sign above the cafe! "TOADSTOOL CAFE"
- Search the mines, if you know how, to find the block that spells out... "POW"
- Find this sign hanging above a special factory! "1UP FACTORY"
- A stained-glass portrait is within reach, and the princess shown inside is... "PEACH"
Once participants guess the password ("POWER UP") by scrambling the letters, they gain access to a meet-and-greet with Yoshi and Mario in the Yoshi-themed area of the queue of Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge.

Some Yoshi-themed food items are made available at Toadstool Cafe during the event.[8]
