"Super Mario World Main Title"[1] is the opening theme to the Super Mario World television series. It was composed by Michael Tavera and Monroe Michaels. An instrumental version is used as the credits theme, as well as the opening sequence for Mario All Stars. Additionally, a short alternate mix of the instrumental, known as "Captain N/Super Mario World Show Preview"[2] is used for the show's episode previews, commercial bumpers, and the Captain N and the New Super Mario World credits, albeit the latter's case is sped up. On the Captain N and the New Super Mario World DVD release, a heavily altered arrangement of the latter track is used for the main menu screen.
Lyrics[edit]
Super Mario. Super Mario. Super Mario WORLD!
(In the background, repeated: Super Mario.)
Super Mario World!
It's a blast from the past.
In Super Mario World
you've got to move fast.
Mario and Luigi
are doin' what they can.
Yoshi and the Princess
are givin' them a hand.
Super Mario WORLD!
(In the background, repeated: Super Mario.)
Super Mario World!
It's a blast from the past.
In Super Mario World
it's a blast!
Super Mario WORLD!

Notes[edit]
- Early German broadcasts of the Super Mario World television series used the intro with the German translation of the Mario Brothers Rap from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! in lieu of the show's original opening song.[3]
