The Double Jump (also called Continuous Jump in Super Mario 64[1]) is a move used by every playable character in the Super Mario series since Super Mario 64 (bar Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World). The player must simply Jump twice in a row to use it (jumping three times in a row executes a Triple Jump). It goes a bit higher than a normal Jump, and can be used to reach higher ground. It is noticeably one of the few jumps the player can use while standing still. However, in the New Super Mario Bros. games, the user must be running at full speed. Diddy Kong is able to perform this jump in Donkey Kong 64.
