The Red POW Box is an item added in the April 22, 2020 update of Super Mario Maker 2. It is a Red POW Block that Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Toadette can wear in the Super Mario 3D World style only. If they jump into certain blocks while wearing the box, such as Brick Blocks and ? Blocks, the POW activates and the blocks are hit. After three hits, the box falls off and can no longer be used. The three letters on the box are lit up and one turns off after each hit.
