Tattle: This is Huff N. Puff. He's a giant cloud monster. His thunder attack is very dangerous. If you don't defend, you'll take massive damage. When you attack Huff N. Puff, little clouds called Tuff Puffs come out. Their number is based on the amount of damage you do. If you leave the Tuff Puffs, Huff N. Puff will swallow them up and restore his HP. You need to use smart tactics to beat this guy, Mario.

Ruff Puffs are cloud enemies that appear in the Paper Mario series. The name "Ruff Puff" comes from a corruption of the word "rough", while the "puff" part of their name refers to them being puffy clouds.

History[edit]

Paper Mario[edit]

In Paper Mario, Ruff Puffs serve as the minions of Huff N. Puff, who they resemble a miniature version of. They appear only in Flower Fields, though a weaker variant, the Tuff Puff, is fought alongside Huff N. Puff in Cloudy Climb. Their primary method of attack is to ram into Mario.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[edit]

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, they appear inside Riverside Station. They attack by ramming into Mario or the active partner. They can also electrify themselves, at which point on the next turn they will attack both Mario and the active partner with lightning bolts. They cannot be attacked directly while they are electrified. Additionally, they are the only type of Puff to not appear in the Pit of 100 Trials.

Super Paper Mario[edit]

In Super Paper Mario, Ruff Puffs appear in the Overthere Stair and in the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials. They attack by firing electric balls at the heroes.
