"Galop infernal d'Orphée aux Enfers",[citation needed] written by the French composer Jacques Offenbach for the opera Orpheus in the Underworld in 1858, is a recurring theme in the Super Mario franchise, first appearing in Donkey Kong Jr. for the arcade during its second cutscene.
