Paralyzed is a status that appears in the Paper Mario series.
In the first Paper Mario, paralysis is inflicted solely by Watt's electric moves, Power Shock and Mega Shock. While paralyzed, the victim is unable to do anything for one or more turns, similar to Immobilized, Sleep, and Injured. It is indicated by a lightning bolt icon.
In Super Paper Mario, making contact with enemies while electrified can paralyze enemies on contact for a short period of time. There is also a low chance for enemies to be paralyzed when attacked with a Thunder Rage.[citation needed]
A similar state can be found in Paper Mario: Sticker Star, where lining up three lightning icons in the Battle Spin will inflict the dizzy status effect on all enemies.

Notes[edit]
- In the GameCube version Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the English description for Thunder Bolt erroneously claims that it can stun enemies, which never occurs in the final version. This discrepancy was fixed in the remake.
