Exhaust
- “Funky footwork make you faint!”
- —Rabbid Luigi, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Exhaust, originally known as Weaken, is a Super Effect and Technique in the Mario + Rabbids series. When a character is weakened, their damage is reduced.
There are only two enemies who can cause the effect: Midnite and Cursa. Midnite weakens heroes within range, while Cursa weakens by attacking them with "Spiral Ray" in the second and third phases of the battle.
History[edit]
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle[edit]
In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Rabbid Luigi's Weaken Technique has the power to inflict this effect on nearby enemies. However, only their weapons are weakened, while movement remains unchanged. Weaken reduces the weapon damage of all enemies in range for a turn, with no upper limit on how many enemies can be affected at a time. It is automatically unlocked after starting Welcome to the Jungle, and after resetting Rabbid Luigi's Skill Tree, it costs 10 Power Orbs to unlock, with the entire Technique node for Rabbid Luigi being locked behind said unlock.
Tropical Smashers can also cause Weaken, which reduce the heroes' weapon damage by 50% if they are within range. The "Cleansing Jump" upgrade will not remove the effect; only freezing, Rabbid Cranky's Long Story, or defeating the Tropical Smasher that caused it will remove it.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope[edit]
In Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Weaken has been renamed to Exhaust, and serves the same purpose as it did in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, although all attacking methods have reduced damage, rather than only weapons being affected. Rabbid Luigi once again can cause the effect, although there is an upgrade named "Vulnerable", which makes affected enemies take 30% more damage from attacks. Rabbid Luigi can also inflict the status with his Dash if the Exhaust Dash upgrade is enabled.
