Dash is a movement-based attack in the Mario + Rabbids series. It allows characters to attack enemies by sliding at them, dealing damage, as well as launching them into the air temporarily. All of the heroes can use this ability (with the exception of Donkey Kong), while some enemies can as well.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle[edit]

In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, the Dash ability is first seen in Ancient Gardens, when a Garden Ziggy Dashes into Beep-0, launching him into the air. He then gets an update from "FB" to tell the heroes about the attack. The following battle is a tutorial for how to use the Dash. Dashes can only be done on one enemy each for the character's turn.

All of the heroes in the main game have the Dash ability, with the Rabbid heroes having unique Dashes. In their Skill Trees, the heroes can purchase upgrades for their Dash Damage, using Skill Spheres. The Super Mario characters can only have one Dash that deal 90 damage (with the exception of Mario, who can deal 130 damage), while the Rabbids can have multiple Dashes with unique properties for each Rabbid. for Rabbid Peach, she can have up to four "Stylish Dashes" that deal 100 damage each. For Rabbid Luigi, he can have up to 2 "Vamp Dashes" that deal 160 damage each, also providing the target with the Vampire Super Effect, healing Rabbid Luigi after the Dashes, as well as any heroes that attack the same target afterwards. Rabbid Mario can have up to 3 "Boom Dashes" that deal 100 damage each, with explosions for each Dash that deal damage to everything nearby. Lastly for Rabbid Yoshi, he can have up to 5 "Ultra Dashes" that deal 90 damage each.

In the Donkey Kong Adventure DLC, Rabbid Peach regains her Stylish Dashes, but can only deal up to 70 damage instead of 100. Donkey Kong cannot Dash; instead he can pick up other characters and objects, and then throw them after he is done moving. Rabbid Cranky can only have 1 Dash that deals 40 damage, making him the only Rabbid that does not have a unique Dash.

Below is a list of enemies that can Dash the heroes, as well as the damage that they can cause:

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope[edit]

In Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the Dash mechanic returns, serving the same purpose from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Dash has unique properties not present in Kingdom Battle, such as characters can Dash at the same target multiple times, characters close to each other can be Dashed at all at once with a single Dash, and Dashed characters trigger reaction-based attacks such as Mario's Hero Sight and Luigi's Steely Stare. The power of Dashes also increases as the heroes level up.

Once again, the heroes can purchase upgrades from their Skill Trees using Skill Prisms. Not all character can upgrade Dashes, and the characters who cannot are Mario and Bowser. Rabbid Peach can have up to 3 Dashes. Rabbid Luigi can have the "Exhaust Dash" upgrade, which causes his Dashes to cause the "Exhaust" Super Effect. Rabbid Luigi can also have up to 2 Dashes. Luigi can gain additional Dashes after performing Team Jumps, allowing him to gain a maximum of 3 Dashes. Rabbid Mario can have 2 Dashes, as well as having "Area Dashes", which cause explosions similar to the "Boom Dash" upgrade from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Princess Peach can have up to 2 Dashes. Edge can have up to 4 Dashes, as well as upgrades that increase her movement by 3 cells with each Dash, as well as increasing the damage by 20% for each Dash done. Rabbid Rosalina can gain the "Ennui Dash", allowing her to cause the Ennui Super Effect to enemies. Rabbid Rosalina can also increase her Dash damage by 80%. In the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC, Rayman has an upgrade in his Skill Tree that increases his Dash damage by 60%.

Some Sparks can power up Dashes. 5 Sparks are capable of doing so: Electrodash, Aquadash, Vampdash, Zephyrdash and Cryodash. Electrodash applies the Shock Super Effect to the hero's Dashes. Aquadash applies the Splash Super Effect to the hero's Dashes. Vampdash applies the Lifesteal Super Effect to the hero's Dashes. Zephyrdash applies the Gust Super Effect to the hero's dashes. Cryodash applies the Frostbite Super Effect to the hero's Dashes.
