Plunger Guard is Rayman's Technique in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.

Plunger Guard summons two Plungers Guards that will shoot at enemies that move within their range. The Plunger Guards can be picked up and thrown. Each Plunger Guard has a number of charges, indicating how many times they can attack enemies. When all of the charges run out, they will disappear. Up to five Plunger Guards can be on the battlefield at once; exceeding the amount will cause old ones to disappear. Plunger Guard has a three turn cooldown.

Rayman's Vortex and Rocket Outfits summon Vortex Guards and Rocket Guards respectively. These function like Plunger Guards but have different effects from their attacks. The normal Plunger Guards fire two shots at one enemy before disappearing. The Vortex Guards cause enemies to bounce away when hit, causing additional damage from the bounces. Vortex Guards have two charges, but only fire one projectile at a time. Rocket Guards cause an explosion upon impact, damaging enemies in the explosion range. Rocket Guards have two charges, but only fire one projectile at a time.

All of the types of Guards can be upgraded in Rayman's Skill Trees. The normal Plunger Guards can have increased range and reduce the cooldown by one turn. There is also an upgrade that allows the Plunger Guards to fire three projectiles instead of two. The Vortex Guards have an upgrade that bounces the enemies to other Guards close by, allowing for additional attacks. The Rocket Guards can be upgraded to summon three Rocket Guards at once instead of two.
