Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is an enhanced port of Super Mario Bros. Wonder released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 26, 2026, as part of the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary celebration. First announced during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct, the port includes new multiplayer co-op and competitive game modes along with the appearance of characters such as Rosalina and Co-Star Luma[1], the Koopalings, the Baby Yoshis, and the Toad Brigade.[11]
As with other "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" software, owners of the original Super Mario Bros. Wonder are able to purchase the additional content as DLC via an upgrade pack. Conversely, the base game can be played on the original Nintendo Switch if the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition cartridge is inserted.
The game was covered during the Nintendo Treehouse: Live event on February 24, 2026.[12]

- Add more info on Amiibo functionality (specificity a list of Emblems that appears on Camp Central)
Playable characters
| Name | Description | Attributes |
|---|---|---|
Rosalina |
Rosalina appears as a new playable character. Having crash landed a Starshroom before the events of the game, she joins Mario and his friends on their journey through the Flower Kingdom. They can also be controlled using the Joy-Con 2's mouse controls.[1] |
Captain Toad and Plucky[13] |
Captain Toad is the leader of the Toad Brigade. Pluckys are yellow birds who wear a red neckerchief similar to Captain Toad's. They also deliver messages from a Poplin recruit helping track down the Koopalings to the player and Captain Toad. Captain Toad and a Plucky are exclusively playable in one of the attractions in Bellabel Park. | One player controls Captain Toad while another controls the Plucky. Captain Toad cannot jump, so the second player uses the Plucky to help lift him off the ground.[13] |

Bosses
The Koopalings return as bosses. Upon entering Bellabel Park, the Koopalings steal the seven Bellabel Flowers from Bellabel Park, and Captain Toad and the Recruit Poplin help the player find them. Each Koopaling hides in a different world of the Flower Kingdom, which now features a new level type, called Brigade Tent. These levels are remixed versions of older levels where the Koopalings use Wonder powers to transform into different forms, and the player must proceed through the level while constantly being attacked, before battling the corresponding Koopaling at the end. Upon defeating them, the they are rewarded with a Bellabel Flower.[11][1]
After Ludwig is defeated, harder versions of these bosses become available as challenges in the Toad Brigade Training Camp.

Other changes
Gameplay
- An Assist Mode has been added to the game. It prevents the player from taking any damage and allows them to float with a Propeller Flower after falling into a pit.
- amiibo support is now added, and scanning them rewards in-game items.
- Hidden Character Block placements in levels are adjusted to accomodate the addtion of Rosalina.
Aesthetic
- Rosalina and Luma are added to the base game's opening and ending cutscenes.
- Several levels in the base game now have an Easter egg where Pikmin and pixel Prince Florians can be found in the background.
- The locations in the world map where Captain Toad could be found in the base game are instead populated by various members of the Toad Brigade.
- The UI for the character selection screen has a few changes:
- The background that the characters sit on is now entirely gray, rather than having the Yoshis and Nabbit's portion of it being dark teal.
- The text box that originally said "Yoshis and Nabbit won't take damage, but they also won't transform with power-ups." now says "Yoshi and Nabbit do not take damage and will not transform with power-ups." Additionally, the text box has been moved to the bottom of the screen rather than right underneath the Yoshis and Nabbit's character icons.
- Player number icons are now color coded by character instead of P1, P2, P3, and P4 being red, blue, green, and yellow respectively.
Miscellaneous
- The game is now translated to Polish and Thai, two languages the original was not available in, as at the time, Nintendo of Europe did not do Polish translations, and Nintendo Singapore and Nintendo Thailand did not yet exist. However, the Talking Flowers have not been dubbed in those languages, instead defaulting to English audio if "Match system language" is selected in the Talking Flower voice language menu.
- The Talking Flowers' English and Russian voice lines have been rerecorded by Patrick Seitz and Stanislav Shapkin respectively, their voice actors since Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV, replacing the original lines by Mick Wingert and Anton Kobylko, likely to keep consistency with the new dialogue added. However, it is possible to listen to the original voice lines by booting up the original Nintendo Switch Edition of the game from the main menu.
Bellabel Park
- Main article: Bellabel Park
A new location in the Flower Kingdom, Bellabel Park, appears in this game.
Attraction Central
Attraction Central holds a slew of multiplayer attractions that can be played both locally and online. The left side of the map, called the Local Multiplayer Plaza, contains attractions for local multiplayer, while the right side of the map, called the Game Room Plaza, contains attractions for multiplayer across multiple systems. Between both attraction plazas is the Tour Plaza,[23] where the Attraction Tour can be played.
Local Multiplayer Plaza
The Local Multiplayer Plaza contains 17 attractions, which can be played with up to four players on the same system or through GameShare (except for the Captain Toad attraction, which can only be played with two players).[1] The top half of the Plaza contains seven Co-op Attractions, where players work together, while the bottom half contains ten VS attractions, where players compete against each other in both free-for-all and teams format. Some attractions share the same level marker with other similar ones on the World Map, and some attractions contain multiple levels that can be selected, including modified versions of levels from the main game as well as some original stages. Some attractions also allow for certain badges to be equipped, and unlike the main game, each player can equip their own individual badge instead of sharing one.[24] The following are all the known attractions in the plaza:
