Iggy's Showdown! is a level in the Fungi Mines in Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park. It is unlocked after defeating the Koopalings in Bellabel Park after they steal the large Bellabel Flower. It is a variation of the level Upshroom Downshroom. This course houses one Bellabel Flower and has a difficulty of three stars.

Layout[edit]

The course starts with Iggy standing on a Mushroom Platform. After that, the player, Captain Toad, and the Recruit Poplin enter the screen and face him to retrieve one of the seven Bellabel Flowers that he stole. After the player presses A Button on the last dialogue, he proceeds to transform into his Wonder form using Bowser's Wonder power. This puts the course in a Wonder Effect, giving the level a green atmosphere with Wonder Piranhas in the foreground and background of the course. Then, he leaves the screen bouncing on top of a Wonder Piranha's head that is on the right of the screen.

In the level, Wonder Piranhas emerge from the ground, pits, and Giant Pipes. Some of them rest idly and can be bounce on, while other Wonder Piranhas continuously chomp. Wonder Piranhas may destroy pumpkin boxes as they emerge. The player can bounce on top of some of the Wonder Piranhas' heads to reach higher areas of the level, jump through gaps, or reach coins.

When the player reaches the long corridor, Iggy will appear in the background making head movements and laughing. There is a Checkpoint Flag, and afterwards, there will be a Plucky that will throw a ? Capsule containing a Super Flower Pot. Also, there will be two Wonder Piranhas that the player must use to reach a higher area. After the player reaches the end of the third staircase, they will walk near Iggy.

He proceeds to talk, saying that he will do a favor to the player and it will be defeating the player. After that, he will jump inside the mouth of a Wonder Piranha and the battle begins.

On the sides of the screen, there are four Wonder Piranhas on each wall, chomping in sync to each other. In the first phase, Iggy will appear at the center of the screen and on each side of him there will be two Wonder Piranhas that the player can bounce on to hit Iggy while he spits watermelon seeds. After each hit, the Wonder Pirhanas on the walls retract a little. Then, Iggy will emerge and he will be spitting nuts akin to those shot by Skedaddlers. After the second hit, Iggy will appear at the middle of the screen with each three Wonder Piranhas on each side of him. After Iggy spits out the seeds, he will stretch his head up. After the third hit, a Plucky will appear and throw a ? Capsule containing a Super Flower Pot.

In the second phase, Wonder Piranhas emerge from the ground with some continuously chomping. The player must jump on the Wonder Piranhas' head while avoiding the ones that are chomping. Iggy will spit out watermelon seeds and afterwards stretch his head up. After the fourth hit, he will get angry.

In the last phase, chomping Wonder Piranhas will stretch their heads to chomp the player. Iggy will alternatively spit out watermelons seeds and nuts at the player. After each spit it, he will stretch his head.

After the last hit, Iggy will turn back to his normal form and he will jump off the screen.

Then, the Recruit Poplin and Captain Toad will walk in and a Bellabel Flower will appear at the center of the screen to collect.
