Mighty Koopalings[edit]

This concerns the following pages: Mighty Iggy, Mighty Larry, Mighty Lemmy, Mighty Ludwig, Mighty Morton, Mighty Roy and Mighty Wendy

The pages for the Koopaling forms from this game were made before I could find an answer to this, so I am opening this as a talk discussion. I am not fully convinced the name "Mighty _" applies to the base forms of the Wonder Koopaling battles. As far as I know, that name appears only in their rematch battles, which are meant to be harder challenges (hence the "mighty" prefix, denoting a more powerful fight). Even the levels themselves are directly named after the Koopalings, but suspiciously do not feature this prefix (e.g. it's "Wendy's Showdown!", not "Mighty Wendy's Showdown!"), even when the Koopalings are in their Wonder form for the entire level.

I think it would be better to rename those to simply "Koopaling (Wonder form)" (e.g.: "Iggy (Wonder form)") or consider another type of identifier. — Lady Sophie_17 Wiggler Sophie.png(T|C) 17:28, March 29, 2026 (UTC)

Can’t we just call them “Wonder Iggy,” “Wonder Ludwig,” etc. to be consistent with Wonder Bowser Jr.? We can still keep the “conjectural name” disclaimer in their articles. In fact, why do we even need to wait for an official source for a name for EVERYTHING, even for things where we can just easily guess what official names Nintendo would give them based on how they named other things? — Signed-off User 16:49 April 8, 2026 (UTC)
I was thinking of the same issue. Considering that the rematch challenge names start with "Fierce Fight", it is possible that "Mighty" being interpreted as the Wonder form came from believing that "Fierce Fight" indicated the buffed-up boss. Since each of the Koopaling's Wonder form is covered in their respective Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park History section, there is not really a need for having articles for Koopaling Wonder transformations. Also, it is not "Wendy's Showdown" or "Mighty Wendy's Showdown", but actually "Wendy's Showdown!". --TheCatLover738 (talk) 17:59, March 29, 2026 (UTC)
Fixed the typo. Thank you. — Lady Sophie_17 Wiggler Sophie.png(T|C) 18:49, March 29, 2026 (UTC)
I was thinking the exact same thing. This video clearly shows that the Wonder versions of the Koopalings aren't named "Mighty [name]" at all in the regular courses, and that the "Mighty" prefix is from the rematches in the Training Camp (e.g. first Wendy fight is "Wendy's Showdown", Training Camp rematch is "Fierce Fight against Mighty Wendy!"). "Mighty" clearly does not refer to the Wonder form at all, it's more an equivalent to the "X" suffix from Mario & Luigi rematches. But this type of boss is called "buffed-up boss" in the challenge category. If that was the case, they would call it "Buffed-up Wendy" etc... Not only that, "buffed-up boss" is not capitalized, Mighty is... this sounds like a form title and not like a category title. I am noticing tho, the "Roy Boos" are mentioned in the loading screen tips (in my translation, they are simply called "Boos"). Let's check if it says something about the Koopalings or other enemies. My avatar's face to use in the signature Mariuigi Khed 14:11, March 30, 2026 (UTC)
This isn't always reflected as evenly in other languages. Here's what it's called in Dutch:
Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park Training Camp mission (Dutch)
Here, both "buffed-up" and "Mighty" are translated as "supersterk" ("super strong"), no caps, and "Fierce Fight" is just "Gevecht" ("fight"). However, I'll also be fair and put up a Japanese screenshot:
Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park Training Camp mission (Japanese)
Here, "buffed-up boss" is known as 強敵きょうてき Kyōteki ("powerful enemy"), while "Mighty" is known as つよTsuyoi ("strong" or "powerful"); "Fierce Fight" is 激闘げきとう Gekitō ("fierce battle"). Though, it is notable that both Kyōteki and Tsuyoi make use of the same 強 kanji, and the fact that "Mighty Wendy's" Japanese title makes use of a kanji instead of Katakana at all makes me think it's also meant to be a descriptor there rather than the form's name. So I'm still doubtful this was intended to be the form's name.
Also, "buffed-up boss is not capitalized, Mighty is...", is an invalid argument when you realize every mission title uses capitalization, most of them being directly taken from course titles after all (e.g. Valley Fulla Snootles). Like, the second Wendy rematch for instance also uses capitalization: "Fierce Fight While Small against Mighty Wendy". This particular argument means nothing. Yeah, fair point on the capitalization thing. My avatar's face to use in the signature Mariuigi Khed 15:44, March 30, 2026 (UTC)
Worth nothing that throughout the base game, Castle Bowser has dialogue that is given a "Castle Bowser speaking tag, with matching icon. When he takes on Wonder Bowser form in the final fight, the dialogue has no name or icon. The Koopalings however, always have dialogue tagged with their normal names and normal icons, even when in their souped up forms.--PopitTart (talk) 17:36, March 30, 2026 (UTC)

To be honest, the moment I saw the "Mighty (Koopaling)" name being applied, I immediately thought "Isn't it just a descriptive term to describe how they're tougher for the rematch?". I sincerely doubt their wonder forms are all called "Mighty" and that it was just referring to how they were stronger in the rematch. Sprite of Yoshi's stock icon from Super Smash Bros. Splitting Toad Brigade Training Camp[edit]

Is it alright if I replace the Toad Brigade Training Camp and Backpack sections with the {{Main}} template and some information and create a Toad Brigade Training Camp article? --TheCatLover738 (talk) 12:55, April 11, 2026 (UTC)

Come on.[edit]

Why can't somebody make articles about the attractions? Please do it. MJGTMKME123 (talk) 14:11, April 11, 2026 (UTC)
