Flash Game[edit]
Hello? I noticed that on the Mario Trivia page, you were able to replace my screenshots with cropped versions so that the taskbar and other details wouldn't be shown. I was recently notified by Mario jc that I needed to crop all the images I uploaded for the flash and shockwave games so far. While I have succeeded with one image, I have run into trouble with all of the others, and I was wondering if you could possibly crop the other screenshots of mine. The pages are Mario Party 7 Bon Voyage Quiz, Bill Bounce, Crazy Counting, Dinky Rinky, Donkey Kong 64 Lore Quiz, Goodness Rakes, Mario Memory, and Melon Mayhem. I know that sounds like a lot, but those are only some of the flash/shockwave games I found, and I will make sure to properly crop future images, but I need the images in these pages to be fixed, and I don't know how, so I would really appreciate it if you could. --JacobH.5840 (talk) 04:58, July 22, 2021 (EDT)

Consecutive edits[edit]
Try to avoid making too many consecutive edits to a single page in a short timespan (even if they're marked as minor) as this floods the recent changes and history pages. It's better to add them in large batches or all at once, and by editing the entire page at once rather than one section at a time.

- I'm sorry if my words cause confusion. I intended to say "You're welcome to update the tables". By the way, I wonder if it's a good idea to move the bigger tables to a page like "List of minor NPCs in Paper Mario", lest they take too much space on the original article which is otherwise about a location. (Collapsing a table to save space isn't conventional on the wiki.) --Dine2017 (talk) 07:22, July 3, 2022 (EDT)

Wii U sprites[edit]
Do you have a reason for submitting the Wii U version sprites for deletion? They are distinct from the Mario Bros. GBA version's sprites.--Platform (talk) 14:09, February 19, 2023 (EST)

I completely recover from my cold, and when I looked on the wiki, I've seen that you've managed to upload the WarioWare crew's icons from Wario World? That's awesome!! They're not even on the Spriter's Resource (where I was trying to look a few months ago to find them)!!

Anti-icon proposal[edit]
Hello, Sophie. I did not know your proposal succeeded with removing the icons, but I am glad it succeeded and one of the most giant pages has become easy to load up. Three Shadows in Super Mario Run[edit]
I noticed you updated the infobox on Three Shadows to include an appearance in Super Mario Run ver. 3.2.0, but I don't see anything about that appearance on either the SMR page or the Three Shadows page. I'm not familiar with SMR, so would it be possible for you to add information about their appearance in that game, please? I created a section on Three Shadows' talk page to address this. --

Help With Image Uploading[edit]
Heho Sophie! Apologies for the sloppy job on uploading the Bloom Pod image, I'm quite new to this. Is there anything else I should adjust for it? --GleeoL (talk) 08:23, February 22, 2025 (EST)
- Hello, and thank you for your help in the wiki! When uploading images, make sure to follow these steps so they are properly set up:
- Give the image a proper name. You did a good job there already, but it is common practice (although not a requirement) to add the initials of the game before the name (e.g.: DKJB Bloom Pod.png).
- Fill out the appropriate fields of the Summary:
- In the first field, add a simple description of the subject, along with the game it came from (remember to italicize game titles by doing this).
- If you found it online, it helps to credit the website you got it from with a link in the second field (Use [www.link.com this format] to embed them).
- Remove any remaining fields you don't need. You don't need to add "N/A" or "None" to them, just remove the line entirely!
- Add a proper License using the selection menu. Most of them are self explanatory (e.g.: Game Screenshot, pixel art sprite, etc) but if you don't know, it's ok to leave it empty and someone will come along to help.
- Finally, add a proper Category. You can do so by clicking on the "(+)" icon in the Category field and typing in the box. These always follow the same pattern of "Game Name" + "screenshots/assets/artwork/images", so in the Bloom Pod case, it is "Donkey Kong Jungle Beat assets".
- I hope this helps! And don't worry if you make mistakes, we're all happy to help adjust things. Thank you again for contributing! — Lady Sophie

Game citations[edit]
The reason why I am in support of the citations on Toy Field Pass is because the reader can then watch a video to follow along the events up to the point of obtaining the item, not to mention that two different characters mention the Toy Field Pass by name (Wiggler and Lakitu) that wouldn't work in the main paragraph. Do you have a better idea of how to integrate those two quotes? Super Mario RPG (talk) 14:58, March 3, 2025 (EST)
- One of those quotes was already being used as a quote template on the article, and besides, I don't see the need to mention all quotes related to an object unless they have new information to add that isn't immediately evident in the game. As for the playthrough, I don't think it adds much more value to the Toy Field Pass coverage, as we already cover where it is located, how to obtain it and who gives it. I would prefer if there were a little more detail on where specifically in Yoshi Park, though. — Lady Sophie
(T|C) 15:10, March 3, 2025 (EST)
- Has a precedent been set on when gameplay citations can be used? I like to use a variety with citations through the use of print media, official websites, and YouTube videos because it makes the article look well researched, especially if it's a game that's not commercially sold anymore or is only available legally by paying a lot of money for it, like All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. Was it inconvenient for you to edit all the pages when I changed the file name?[edit]
When I moved the boxart of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games to correct a typo (it spelled “Olympic” as “Olypmic”), you had to edit many pages to make the boxart show up correctly after. Was it inconvenient and I should’ve done the mainspace articles before moving the files or was there an edit all function? I moved the page name thinking it would auto change everything given it didn’t show any pages that would be affected.

20:55, April 13, 2025 (EDT)
- When you move a file to a different name, it leaves behind a file redirect. This file redirect allows pages which have the old link to still display the image with a new name. While that works for not letting file links in pages break, leaving those redirects is discouraged, so remember to edit all the file links before or after moving the file to a different name. We have a bot that can do mass edits like that, but it should only be used in cases where there are too many pages to update, which wasnt the case here. I hope this answers your questions. — Lady Sophie

Userpage deletion reversions[edit]
Hello! I'm going to push back super mildly on the two reversions made to the userpage deletion requests (1, 2), as both of them do not meet the policy set out across the Userspace policy and MarioWiki:Signatures which both restrict users to only having one signature. The deletion reasons list the signatures that are actually in use—the former of which is completely 100% unused and the latter of which is a direct code duplicate of the intended signature. This isn't to bury people's content or remove something which has a reasonable possibility to still see use, but just to consolidate pages as the policy sets out. I don't really feel like pushing this further than this paragraph here, so the decision is yours...but I still think these should be cleared out. Trig - 09:33, August 11, 2025 (EDT)

Donkey Kong Country[edit]
Hey, just letting you know that my recent edits on Donkey Kong Country were my own work. I didn't copy and paste anything, but I may have retyped two or three sentences from another source with no changes. My apologies, but I've since gone back and rewrote the problematic spots in my own words. I'm anti-AI, so will never use such technology, but have edited on Wikipedia in the past, and study in formal writing. This may be why my writing does not always seem human, but I assure you it is. I even recoded me typing the last few sentences of this if you want proof. User:RHG1951 left a message on my talk page after I saw your comment in the edit history, but I'm not able to reply to them for whatever reason. I don't wish to appeal my warning, as the claims of plagiarism are valid, but I wanted to let you know what was going on, and that I'll be more careful when using sources to write in the future. Happy editing! Sargent Deez (talk) 23:52, August 19, 2025 (EDT)
Cheat in Messy Memory[edit]
I saw you reverted on Messy Memory. Why is cheating out of the wiki's scope? What about Happy Lucky Lottery? It has information on how to cheat without getting caught.
Conkdor! (T|C) 20:51, September 18, 2025 (EDT)
- I am not a big fan of how detailed the "cheat" in the Happy Lucky Lottery page is, but at least it is also explaining what affects a system based on its own internal rules (how the game keeps track of dates). The cheat in Messy Memory is not inherent to the game itself, but based on an external system which we don’t cover. That makes it different, in my opinion. — Lady Sophie

Yes I can-can[edit]
I'm not very good at writing History sections, to be honest — I was counting on other people to help me with that. For WarioWare: Get It Together!, I probably got confused with Move It!; I thought it appeared in the Donkey Kong Jr. minigame, but I can't seem to find it again. This annoys me greatly because I know I wouldn’t have written Get It Together!/Move It! on my list back in the day if I hadn’t been certain it was there. As of now, I don’t remember — sorry. In Super Mario RPG (both the original and the remake), a piece of Galop infernal is referenced in The Slope at 13 seconds (the part that goes “tata-tata-tata” in a descending manner). --Conradd (talk) 19:15, October 26, 2025 (EDT)
- FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!, I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! It was the microgame Super Mario Land from Get It Together!, not the microgame Donkey Kong Jr. from Move It! https://youtu.be/VgjWmp1M7KI?si=k4ErkQIFUDgUAqUo--Conradd (talk) 04:28, October 27, 2025 (EDT)
- Great! Good job. Still, I wouldn't consider the Super Mario RPG piece an arrangement of Galop Infernal. It might be inspired by it, and that section has some resemblance to it, but its so brief it could probably be just a coincidence. I don't think it fits in that page. — Lady Sophie
(T|C) 06:50, October 27, 2025 (EDT)
- I personally don't think it's a coincidence — I think Yoko knew exactly what she was doing when she placed those notes there. I'm not a musician but to me this is an unmistakable quote from Can-Can. I believe it's pretty common for composers to reference the Can-Can when a situation has a comical or circus-like feel. --Conradd (talk) 07:51, October 27, 2025 (EDT)
- What I mean is that I can totally believe the theme is referencing Infernal Galop by using a similar structure and similar melody, but it is not literally reusing the notes from Infernal Galop in it. — Lady Sophie
(T|C) 08:51, October 27, 2025 (EDT)
- I mean, does that really matter at the end of the day? I’m sure we can find similar examples in the recurring themes articles of melodies that are similar but not identical but are still clear references to previous pieces and count all the same. I don’t think the ‘tata-tata-tata’ sounds that different from the original, honestly. --Conradd (talk) 09:11, October 27, 2025 (EDT)
