"Figure-8 Circuit"[1] is a musical theme composed by Shinobu Nagata for Mario Kart DS, where it plays in Figure-8 Circuit outside of missions 2-2 and Mario Circuit.

Mario Kart DS[edit]
Mario Kart DS marks the first appearance of "Figure-8 Circuit". In the kiosk demo version of the game, the theme is in C major and uses different instruments.
The title screen theme of Mario Kart DS and "Figure-8 Circuit" are based on the same motif.
Mario Kart Tour[edit]
In Mario Kart Tour, an arrangement of "Figure-8 Circuit" plays in DS Mario Circuit. This arrangement uses higher quality samples, but it is otherwise near identical to the original.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as part of Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass, an arrangement of "Figure-8 Circuit" plays in DS Mario Circuit. It is likewise titled "DS Mario Circuit" in the Nintendo Music app. A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.
