"Egg Planet",[1][2] also known as "Good Egg Galaxy",[3] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays in the galaxy of the same name, as well as during the ending cutscene when Mario and Princess Peach are whisked away with the final Grand Star. Its name comes from the Japanese name for the Good Egg Galaxy, "Egg Planet Galaxy".

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]

Super Mario Galaxy marks the first appearance of "Egg Planet", and it returns for the same purposes in the Nintendo Switch ports, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is also included in the official Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack album.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, an arrangement of "Egg Planet" arranged by Mahito Yokota plays in World 1's map after Green Star comets appear. It is titled "Green Star" in the Nintendo Music app, and it is also included in the official Super Mario Galaxy 2 Original Soundtrack album. Moreover, the original version of "Egg Planet" plays during the fourth and fifth sections of the Grandmaster Galaxy mission "The Perfect Run".

In the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, an arrangement of "Egg Planet" plays in the Dream Ski Jumping events. It is likewise titled "Dream Ski Jumping" in the game's sound test.

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games[edit]

In Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, the arrangement of "Egg Planet" from Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games can be chosen as the background music for events. It is titled "Good Egg Galaxy: Super Mario Galaxy (Remix)" in the game's sound test.

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, both the original version of "Egg Planet" and a new arrangement of the theme arranged by Nobuko Toda can play in the Mario Galaxy stage. The latter theme also incorporates arrangements of the first six notes of "Ground BGM", "Underground BGM", "Invincibility BGM", and "Timer Warning" from Super Mario Bros. Both the original theme and the arrangement are titled "Egg Planet" in game's sound test without any disambiguation between the two. The latter theme is also included in the official album Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U: A Smashing Soundtrack.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, both the original and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U versions of "Egg Planet" can play in any Super Smash Bros.-series and Super Mario-series stage. They are titled "Egg Planet" and "Egg Planet (Remix)" respectively in the game's sound test.

The arrangement album SUPER MARIO BROS. 25th Anniversary Special Sound Track PRESS START Edition features a live orchestral medley arrangement of "Overture", "Luma", "Egg Planet", and "Gusty Garden Galaxy" from Super Mario Galaxy. It is titled 「スーパーマリオギャラクシー2008 〜PRESS START 2008より〜」 (Sūpā Mario Gyarakushī 2008 〜 PRESS START 2008 Yori 〜, "Super Mario Galaxy 2008 ~From PRESS START 2008~").

Super Mario Orchestra Concert[edit]
