Amsterdam appears in the DOS and CD-ROM Deluxe versions of Mario is Missing. It is part of the fourth level set, alongside Tokyo, Cairo, Bombay, and Toronto, and must be cleared to defeat Iggy Koopa. Like all the other cities in Mario is Missing!, Amsterdam was invaded by Koopa Troopas, who stole artifacts from various local landmarks. In this case, they stole Rembrandt's paintbrush from his house, a tulip from the Aalsmeer Flower Market, a diamond from the Amsterdam Diamond Center, and the steering wheel of a boat in one of Amsterdam's canals. Luigi will be rewarded with money by the unnamed mayor of Amsterdam if he finds and returns the artifacts to their respective landmarks, which also rescues the city.
