Meet Mario is a digital book published in the McPlay app in 2018. The book was published alongside the 2018 line of Happy Meal toys, and was themed after Super Mario Odyssey. Counting the cover and final pages, the book consists of 11 pages.

Details[edit]

The start of the book provides an overview of Mario himself, and states that he "leapt into an exciting adventure" recently. The following pages retell portions of the story of Super Mario Odyssey. The next page states that Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach because he wanted her to marry him, accompanied by stock artwork of Mario, Bowser, and Princess Peach in their wedding attire. The next page describes the events that occurred in the opening cutscene of Super Mario Odyssey, specifically how Mario is knocked off Bowser's Airship, loses his hat, and meets Cappy. The next few pages provide an overview of the story missions in Cap Kingdom and Cascade Kingdom. Following this is a page detailing the Odyssey. The remaining pages in the book - aside from the final page - mostly detail the story missions in various kingdoms, specifically Sand Kingdom, Lake Kingdom, Metro Kingdom, and Snow Kingdom. The pages for Snow Kingdom and Metro Kingdom omit select story missions from their description, while the Lake Kingdom page omits the story entirely, instead mentioning Mario capturing a Cheep Cheep and swimming with Dorrie. The final page states that the reader should play Super Mario Odyssey to see what happens next.
