First appearance Paper Mario (2000)

Vanna T. is Chuck Quizmo's assistant in the game Paper Mario. She is a Toad who has hearts on her cap instead of round spots and blonde hair. During Chuck Quizmo's quiz shows, she can be seen standing next to Chuck Quizmo, in the right of the screen. Whenever Mario answers one of Chuck Quizmo's quiz questions correctly, she claps her hands. Her name is a reference to Vanna White, the hostess of the real-world game show Wheel of Fortune, who assists Pat Sajak in a manner similar to how Vanna T. assists Chuck Quizmo. It is also a pun on "vanity", a word for anyone who overvalues their own image (although Vanna T. seems to have the opposite nature).

After Mario answers the first quiz question correctly, Vanna T. sends Mario a letter. In the letter, she writes to Mario this:

Hello Mario.
I'm Vanna T., Chuck Quizmo's lovely assistant.

Thanks for participating in our quiz show.
Our ratings are through the roof!
Are those Star Pieces helping you?

Please keep coming back until you answer the last question!
I'll cheer you on!

Vanna T.

At the end of the game, while Mario is on his way to Princess Peach's party, Vanna T. makes an appearance with Chuck Quizmo near the Dojo. If Mario speaks to her, the only reply he gets is a smile and "♡". Vanna T. also takes part in the ending parade.
