It's a Fuzzy Horde! Look at 'em all! What a mob scene! It's crazy! Max HP is 20, Attack is 1, and Defense is 0. Fuzzies come at you all at once and attack in order. Says here not to freak out! It also says that if you use good timing to defend, you won't take much damage. I'm thinking it might just be faster to whip the ringleader, though, y'know?

A Fuzzy Horde is a large cluster of Fuzzies, appearing in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

History

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a Fuzzy Horde appears in Shhwonk Fortress, where it is summoned by the Gold Fuzzy during the battle with it after it takes enough damage. The horde attacks the player by surrounding Mario or Goombella, then having five Fuzzies leap up and land on them to deal damage. The entire horde flees after either losing 10 HP or after Gold Fuzzy is defeated. After the battle ends, the mob disperses, with the Gold Fuzzy retreating as well.

Although Goombella can use Tattle on the Fuzzy Horde, it will not be recorded in her Tattle Log, instead using the same entry as a normal Fuzzy.

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

In Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, a Fuzzy Horde appears in Fuzzy Time Mine and Floating Fuzzy Time Mine. During both levels, it will move upward through the level, forcing the player to run to avoid instantly losing a life. The Fuzzy Horde starts small, but as the level progresses, it grows much larger. After exiting either of the two mines and nearing the Goal Pole, the Fuzzy Horde will stop immediately before it, allowing the player to rest.

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam

Fuzzy Hordes return in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. If a Paper Fuzzy takes damage three times, it will turn into a Fuzzy Horde, forcing the characters to flee.
