The "Ground Theme"[1] is a musical theme composed for Super Mario 3D Land that can be heard in most of the game's overworld levels.

Super Mario 3D Land features multiple arrangements of the "Ground Theme" in its soundtrack. The theme heard on the game's title screen is a slightly slower arrangement of it.
A jazzier arrangement of the "Ground Theme" can be heard in Special 2-1 and Special 5-4, though is in A# major instead of C major.
A unique, somewhat mechanical arrangement of the "Ground Theme" plays in World 7-4, Special 4-1, and Special 7-3.
A big band jazz arrangement of the "Ground Theme" plays during the staff credits.
A brief arrangement of the first few notes of the "Ground Theme" plays when selecting Super Mario 3D Land on the Nintendo 3DS Home Menu.

Super Mario 3D World[edit]
Super Mario 3D World features an arrangement of the jazzier version of the "Ground Theme" titled "Super Block Land" in the game's official soundtrack, which can be heard in the level of the same name.
This arrangement returns for the same purpose in the game's Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games[edit]
In Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, an arrangement of the "Ground Theme" plays during the first and last portions of Mario's Figure Skating Spectacular, which itself is based on Super Mario 3D Land.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[edit]
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS features a medley arrangement of the "Ground Theme" and the "Beach Theme" from Super Mario 3D Land titled "Super Mario 3D Land Theme / Beach Theme" by Yuichiro "Jesahm" Noro. It can be played on the 3D Land stage.
The arrangement also appears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, where it can be played on the Delfino Plaza stage, and returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, now titled "Ground Theme / Underwater Theme - Super Mario 3D Land", where it can be played on any Super Smash Bros.-series and Super Mario-series stage.
