"P Switch BGM"[1] is a recurring musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario World, where it plays whenever a Switch Block is activated. Similarly to other P-Switch themes, it speeds up as the P-Switch's effects are running out.

Super Mario World and its reissue, Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World, mark the first appearances of "P Switch BGM". It is also featured in the game's official soundtrack.

Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 features a compressed arrangement of "P Switch BGM" with the same purpose as in Super Mario World.
The same arrangement plays in Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 in the World-e levels Doors o' Plenty and Vexing Doors when a Control Coin is released.
Super Mario Maker / Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS / Super Mario Maker 2[edit]
Super Mario Maker, its Nintendo 3DS port, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, and Super Mario Maker 2 play "P Switch BGM" when a P Switch is active within a course in the Super Mario World game style.

In Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, an arrangement of "P Switch BGM" plays in the game's Snow Day Street Hockey Dream Event when a P Switch is pressed in the Coin Street rink.
WarioWare: Get It Together![edit]
In WarioWare: Get It Together!, "P Switch BGM" plays when a P Switch is active in level 1 of the Super Mario World boss microgame.
