"Volcano Theme"[1] is a musical theme in New Super Mario Bros., where it plays in the levels World 8-5, World 8-6 and World 8-8. Much like with the rest of the game's soundtrack, this theme makes heavy use of "paah" vocals.

New Super Mario Bros.[edit]

New Super Mario Bros. marks the first appearance of "Volcano Theme".

New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the theme that plays in the volcano levels quotes "Volcano Theme" at the beginning of its sitar section. This arrangement would be reused in all later installments in the New Super Mario Bros. series.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker[edit]

In Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports, an arrangement of "Volcano Theme" plays in Drop-Road Dash. It is likewise titled "Drop-Road Dash" in the Nintendo Music app. The backing xylophone melody is no longer present.
