The Super Glider is the default glider in all games of the Mario Kart series starting with Mario Kart 7. It does not offer any stat boosts in any way, but like all the other gliders in the series, it enables racers to go airborne after driving off a Glide Ramp. Its color scheme is determined by the character who is using it.

Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 DeluxeEdit
The Super Glider returns as the default glider in Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This time, it features the emblem of the character in the center of the glider, instead of on both sides. It also has a stripe in the middle of the glider. The color of the stripe varies by character. Once again, it does not increase nor decrease any stats. It shares its stats with the Wario Wing, Waddle Wing, Plane Glider, Gold Glider, and Paper Glider. Mario's Super Glider appears on the logo of the sponsor Dream Gliders. In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it only now shares stats with the Waddle Wing and Hylian Kite. Funky Kong is the only character in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe whose glider color does not match his main vehicle color, being red instead of light blue like in Mario Kart Tour, presumably to match the color of his surfboard.

Mario Kart TourEdit
The Super Glider returns in Mario Kart Tour, where it serves as the starting glider. It is classified as a Normal glider despite its namesake, and retains its appearance from Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The Super Glider offers better chances of obtaining Mushrooms from Item Boxes and increases the number of points earned for using Mushrooms. The game introduces five variants of this glider: the Droplet Glider, Le Tricolore, Piston Glider, Safety Glider, and Mushroom Glider, with the Gold Glider also serving as a variant to this glider. A pixelated counterpart called the 8-Bit Super Glider also appears in the game. It is the only available glider in several bonus challenges. The color of the Super Glider matches with the color of the Pipe Frame, which is determined by the driver. Due to the existence of a separate Gold Glider, drivers of gold Pipe Frames, excluding Gold Mario, use black Super Gliders for their karts.

Super Mario MakerEdit
The Super Glider makes a small appearance in Super Mario Maker, being seen in the jumping sprite for the Costume Mario costume Kart Mario.
Mario & Luigi: Paper JamEdit
The Super Glider is shown on three Character Cards in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. One of them is a Luigi card that shows the Mario Kart 7 artwork of him gliding, and can be used in a battle to raise a character's speed by 35% for a limited time. Another card is a Peach Card that shows a different Mario Kart 7 artwork of her gliding, and can be used to enable the character with the highest attack power to act first in a battle, also for a limited time. The last card is a Luigi + Bowser Duo Card that features the same artwork of Luigi as previously and has the same effects as the aforementioned Peach Card.
The Super Marios Bros. MovieEdit
The Super Glider appears as the only glider for the Kong Guard's kart and Peach's Mach Bike in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
