Moo Moos[1] (also generically referred to as cows)[2][3] are moving obstacles that appear mainly in farm-based courses in the Mario Kart series. In some appearances, they act as obstacles for drivers.

Cows can be seen in the background of the Mario Kart 64 course named Moo Moo Farm.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!![edit]

Although cows themselves do not appear in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mushroom City has a truck advertising the Moo Moo Farm course with the image of a cow.

Mario Kart DS[edit]

Cows once again appear in the background of the Retro Course N64 Moo Moo Farm. It is the first game to give them the blue collars with hanging golden bells.

In Mario Kart Wii, cows serve as obstacles in the course Moo Moo Meadows. When hit, they cause the player to spin out.
