Type Dream Event
Info In this event, 4 characters face each other on a stage to try to be the last one standing.

Dream Fencing appears as an event in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. It differs very much from the regular event, as players run on a three-dimensional plane instead of a two-dimensional plane, and they can get Item Boxes either with a Shield from the Sonic franchise or a heart, and there are four players playing at once instead of two at a time. This event takes place at Ocean Palace from Sonic Heroes.

During London Party, when the player faces off Eggman Nega a second time, they compete in this event with just the player and Eggman Nega.

Gameplay[edit]

Players have two minutes to deplete all of their opponents' health. If a player knocks another player off the stage causes massive damage, but causes the felled player to be able to do a Special Thrust upon returning to the stage. If a player is in danger of falling off, they can swing the Wii Remote (and Nunchuk) to get themselves back on the stage. Occasionally, Egg Pawns or Egg Flappers appear on the stage. If a player runs into them, it deals damage to the player, but if a player uses a thrust on it, they can knock them into other players, making them lose health. Sometimes the Egg Pawns and Egg Flappers drop power cores which are the same things as the things dropped from a player who fell off the stage. If a player gets knocked out, they can return as a bomb to attack the other players in a similar style to becoming a Mini Bomb Kart in Battle mode of Mario Kart 64. The game ends when all human players are knocked out or there is only one player left. If there are two or more players still standing when the time is up, then the player with the most health left wins.
