Flip block
A flip block from Super Paper Mario.
First appearance Super Paper Mario (2007)
Effect Flips from 2-D to 3-D or vice versa when hit
“This is a flip block. It will change dimensions as it rotates... It might just help you get somewhere...”
Tippi, Super Paper Mario

Flip blocks are blocks in Super Paper Mario. They are flat, yellow, and depict two sideways arrows. Hitting flip blocks from below causes them to stretch and then flip from 2-D to 3-D or vice versa, giving the player character the ability to access new areas and floating doors. There is a variation in The Bitlands that appears more segmented but is the same otherwise.
