"A Powerful Enemy Emerges"[1] is a musical theme composed for Super Paper Mario, where it plays when fighting Bowser's minions in Chapter 3-1, during the Big Blooper and Mr. L boss fights, and while fighting Shadoo on the final floor of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.

Super Paper Mario marks the first appearance of "A Powerful Enemy Emerges".

A chiptune arrangement of the theme plays during the Underchomp battle in the Underwhere Road as part of Dorguy the Third's test.
