- Discuss missing arrangements.
Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins marks the first appearance of "Main Theme", featuring several additional arrangements.
The first arrangement is heard on the file select screen. It is titled "File Select" in the Nintendo Music app.
The second arrangement, titled "Tree Zone", plays in the zone of the same name.
Most dark or dimly-lit courses such as the Whale, Tree Trunk, Attic Courses, and several courses in the Pumpkin Zone use a slower, more eerie-like arrangement titled "Whale Course (Turtle Zone)".
Two courses of the Tree Zone (Roots and Leaf Courses), as well two courses in the Mario Zone (Gear and Gumball Courses), use another arrangement titled "Roots Course (Tree Zone)"; this theme also incorporates "World 3 Map (Water Land)" from Super Mario Bros. 3.
The "Crane Course (Mario Zone)" arrangement is heard in the Crane, Bee Hive, Flower, and Sunken Ship Courses, while "Manhole Course (Macro Zone)" is heard in the Manhole, Fireplace, and Cheep Cheep Courses. The Moon Course uses "Moon Course (Space Zone)" and is the only course to use that arrangement.
The Haunted House Course features an arrangement of "Treasure Room BGM" from Super Mario Land which also incorporates "Main Theme". It is titled "Ghost House Course (Pumpkin Zone)", making the Haunted House Course the only course using that arrangement.
"Main Theme" is also arranged for boss battles (titled "Boss BGM"), losing a life (titled "Player Down"), and the Game Over screen (titled "Game Over").
