Super Mario Bros. 3 marks the first appearance of "Underwater BGM". It is also included in the official albums Super Mario World and Game Sound Museum: Super Mario Bros. 3.
Super Mario All-Stars[edit]
In the SNES remake of Super Mario Bros. 3 in Super Mario All-Stars, as well as its reissues Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition, an arrangement of "Underwater BGM" plays for the same purpose as in the original game.

Super Mario Maker / Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS / Super Mario Maker 2[edit]
In Super Mario Maker, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, and Super Mario Maker 2, the original version of "Underwater BGM" plays in Super Mario Bros. 3-style underwater-themed levels.
An ambient arrangement of "Underwater BGM" plays while editing Super Mario Bros. 3-style underwater-themed levels in the Course Maker. This arrangement uses eight tracks that fade in and out randomly to create a dynamic mix.
Exclusively in Super Mario Maker 2, a music box arrangement of "Underwater BGM" plays in the nighttime version of Super Mario Bros. 3-style underwater-themed levels.

The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]
In The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, an arrangement of "Underwater BGM" is featured in various episodes of the show.
A different arrangement of "Underwater BGM" plays in the title card for the episode "The Ugly Mermaid". It is the only musical theme from Super Mario Bros. 3 that plays in a title card sequence for the show to not be a world map theme.
Super Paper Mario[edit]
In Super Paper Mario, an arrangement of "Underwater BGM" plays during the cutscene before the boss battle against Big Blooper. It is titled "Big Blooper Appears" in the game's sound test.

Mario Sports Mix features three different medley arrangements of "Underwater BGM" from Super Mario Bros. and "Underwater BGM" from Super Mario Bros. 3 as playable songs in Harmony Hustle: an orchestral arrangement titled "Classic Ocean", a techno arrangement titled "Bloocheep Ocean", and a punk rock arrangement titled "Punk Ocean".
Mario Kart World[edit]
In Mario Kart World, a bebop arrangement of "Underwater BGM" can play in Free Roam during the day, on the route from Peach Beach to Salty Salty Speedway in the Banana Cup, and on VS Race routes coming from Koopa Troopa Beach, Peach Beach, and Salty Salty Speedway.
