Reuses[edit]
The following list does not include ports or remakes of New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Work | Description |
---|---|
Taiko no Tatsujin | "Bonus Area" is included in the "New Super Mario Bros. Wii Medley" track, available in various games starting from Taiko no Tatsujin Wii: Minna de Party Sandaime! |
Super Mario Maker / Super Mario Maker 2 | "Bonus Area" plays when the "Bonus Music" sound effect is triggered in New Super Mario Bros. U-style courses. |
Arrangements[edit]
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]
In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, bongo percussion is added to the instrumentation of "Bonus Area" whenever a player is riding a Yoshi.
New Super Mario Bros. 2[edit]
In New Super Mario Bros. 2, an arrangement of "Bonus Area" plays in Rainbow Courses.
New Super Mario Bros. U[edit]
In New Super Mario Bros. U, vocalizations are added to the original theme whenever a player holds onto a Baby Yoshi. This remix is reused for the same purpose in New Super Luigi U, New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. A remix of the percussion that plays whenever a player is riding a Yoshi from New Super Mario Bros. Wii goes unused as Yoshis do not appear in bonus areas.[2] This remix was later used for this purpose in Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2.
