Snapshot Mode in Super Mario Odyssey.
The Snapshot Mode menu

Snapshot Mode is a special screenshot mode featured in Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. At any time during normal gameplay, pressing Down Button on the left Joy-Con or on the D-pad of the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller pauses the game and activates Snapshot Mode. The player can then move and rotate the camera around, apply filters to what is on screen, and add the logo of the game they are playing to the shot before taking a screenshot of it using the Nintendo Switch's built-in screenshot function. In Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, logos are available for Super Mario 3D World, Bowser's Fury, and both at once.

There are 22 different filters available to use in Super Mario Odyssey and 11 in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Both games' filters are listed below.

Snapshot Mode cannot be used during cutscenes, when speaking with characters, or while viewing Hint Art in Super Mario Odyssey (although normal screenshots can still be taken in all three situations), and has the same camera restrictions seen in normal gameplay. In Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Snapshot Mode can be used on the World Map or during levels. Snapshot Mode additionally removes the in-game HUD and all dialogue boxes from any nearby NPCs, and adds a white border around the screenshot.

In Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Stamps collected in the game can be placed on surfaces in Snapshot Mode.
