“The star menu lets you track all kinds of useful information.”
Starlow, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

The star menu is the menu in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its 3DS remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, replacing Stuffwell from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and the suitcase from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Here, the player can select a total of six options, view the current play time (this is not present in the remake), and, when it becomes available, the Badge Meter. The star menu is accessed by pressing the Start button. Starlow explains how to use it once the player frees Luigi in the Trash Pit, and runs it afterward.

It returns in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team with the same function, but now is simply called the "menu".
