This is a very large watery racetrack for Manta Ray surfing. It contains fish, large hoops, flags, and a large golden hoop that serves as a finish and starting line. This hoop greatly resembles a Shine Sprite from Super Mario Sunshine. The course starts out narrow and then takes two sharp turns. At the yellow hoops, it goes down one large slope and two smaller slopes. Then at the red hoops, it takes a curve upwards that gets very narrow. At the blue hoops, it stays narrow and then does a loopdeeloop. After that, it goes down a very large slope and then takes a tight curve to the finish line.

The terrace planets are numerous small stone platforms floating in the air around the Loopdeeloop Planet. They are accessible only after Mario has completed the "The Galaxy's Greatest Wave" mission, after which a series of Sling Stars will appear on them, leading to automatically driven-to ? coins, showing Star Bits along the player flies, who can be collected directly by taking the first Sling Star when done, instead of directly taking the Power Star. They are covered in Penguins who are cheering him on from the sidelines. They look exactly like the prize planet.

Mario must complete the track in only three minutes to get the Power Star from Coach. However, the player must be extremely slow and cautious when surfing through the course, as speeding quickly around the corners will most likely result in Mario falling off the track. If the player finishes in under 1:30 and doesn't immediately collect the Power Star after talking to Coach, a series of Sling Stars, the first of which is located near some of the younger Penguins, will appear, which the player can then use to shoot around parts of the galaxy to get some extra Star Bits.

Coach, Super Mario Galaxy

The Loopdeeswoop Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. It is one of the three Trial Galaxies. This galaxy is extremely similar to the Loopdeeloop Galaxy, though it is much more challenging and complicated due to the narrow water ways and the hard turns. It contains many 1-Up Mushrooms because of its difficulty. There are also spots with intense speed such as the loop and the steep dives.

Planets/Areas

NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, all names are unofficial.

Starting Planet

The starting planet of the Loopdeeswoop Galaxy.
Mario and the three penguins on the Starting Planet

This planet is a small platform with three penguins that give helpful advice. It is made of stone and sand and is paired with another terrace planet and the prize planet. If Mario clears the "The Galaxy's Greatest Wave" mission in under one minute and 30 seconds, a Sling Star that leads to the Terrace Planets appears here.

This is a very large watery racetrack for ray surfing.

Terrace Planets

The Terrace Planets are three platforms floating in the air around the Loopdeeloop Planet. They resemble the Starting and Prize Planet, the latter next to which one of them is located. The other two are accessible only via the Sling Star on the Starting Planet and lead Mario to a series of ? Coins that spawn many Star Bits that the player can collect while flying. Two of the planets have palm trees and penguins.

Prize Planet

The Prize Planet is a large stone planet paired with a Terrace Planet and the Starting Planet. On one side of the planet, there is a podium with three different levels labeled 1, 2, and 3. Under the number 1 on the tallest step, a carving of a ray (possibly Ray himself) shows that whoever stands on this position won the race.

Off to the other side of the planet, Coach stands and congratulates Mario on achieving victory and then releases a Power Star which settles on top of the center of the podium.
