A Very Spooky Sprint
Like with the last mission, the player starts on a Starshroom and has to use a Launch Star to reach the gate of the mansion. Using the Pull Stars beyond the gate will take Mario to a Launch Star that will launch him to an asteroid will the Spooky Speedster waits. Talking to him and accepting his challenge will start a race.
The player has to utilize Pull Stars in order to move around the race course. Obstacles the player encounters include large meat-like structures that will bounce Mario away if he comes into contact, a rotating wall, and many Floating Mines. If the player beats the Spooky Speedster to the goal planet, the player will be rewarded with the Power Star. However, if the Spooky Speedster wins or if two minutes have elapsed, Mario will lose a life.
