Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island marks the first appearance of "Opening Melody," alongside an additional arrangement of the theme plays in the ending cutscene when Yoshi defeats Baby Bowser and rescues Baby Luigi. It is titled "Rescuing Luigi" in the Nintendo Music app. Both "Opening Melody" and "Rescuing Luigi" are also included in the official soundtrack album Super Mario: Yossy Island Original Sound Version.
The Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, contains its own arrangements of "Opening Melody" and "Rescuing Luigi" that play for the same purposes as in the original game.

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, an upbeat, synth-focused medley arrangement of "Flower Field BGM," "Opening Melody," and "Map Screen" played on keyboard and brass can play in the Woolly World stage. It is titled "Yoshi's Island" in the game's Sound Test, and was arranged by Yoshihito Yano.
