"Cool, Cool Mountain",[1] also known as "Snow Mountain",[2] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario 64, where it plays in Cool, Cool Mountain and Snowman's Land. It is a winter/Christmas arrangement of the main motif of the "Main Theme" from the same game.

Super Mario series[edit]

Super Mario 64 / Super Mario 64 DS[edit]

Super Mario 64 marks the first appearance of "Cool, Cool Mountain", and it returns for the same purposes in the Nintendo DS remake, Super Mario 64 DS, and the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario 3D All-Stars. In Super Mario 64 DS, it also plays in Chief Chilly Challenge and in the minigames Shuffle Shell, Shell Smash, Snowball Slalom, and Giant Snowball Slalom. It is also included in the official albums Super Mario 64 Original Soundtrack, Happy! Mario 20th - Super Mario Sound Collection, and The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music.

New Super Mario Bros.[edit]

In New Super Mario Bros., the original version of "Cool, Cool Mountain" plays in the minigames Snowball Slalom and Snowball Slam. It is titled "Snowball Slalom" in the Nintendo Music app.

In the Nintendo DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, an arrangement of "Cool, Cool Mountain" plays in the second half of the "Mario & Sonic Download Medley" in the Ultimate Figure Skating Dream Event.

In the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, an arrangement of "Cool, Cool Mountain" plays in the Dream Snowball Fight event. It is likewise titled "Dream Snowball Fight" in the game's sound test.

In Mario Kart World, a bluegrass arrangement of "Cool, Cool Mountain" can play in Free Roam and during routes in Grand Prix or VS Race. In Grand Prix, it is one of the themes that can play in the route from Moo Moo Meadows to Choco Mountain in the Lightning Cup. It is simply titled "Cool, Cool Mountain" in the game's pause menu.

In the Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and New Nintendo 3DS versions of Minecraft, the original version of "Cool, Cool Mountain" can play in the Overworld in the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack.

Super Mario Orchestra Concert[edit]

The "Super Mario Orchestra Concert" series featured a live orchestral medley arrangement of several musical themes from Super Mario 64, including "Cool, Cool Mountain".
