'''Gary''' is a rather ordinary [[Goomba]] and a member of [[Bowser]]'s legion of minions, the [[Koopa Troop]]. In ''[[Super Paper Mario]]'', Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to [[Princess Peach]] and later, to [[Count Bleck]]'s castle.
'''Gary''' is an ordinary [[Goomba]] and a member of [[Bowser]]'s army, the [[Koopa Troop]]. In ''[[Super Paper Mario]]'', Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to [[Princess Peach]] and later, to [[Count Bleck]]'s castle. After the events of Chapter 2-4, in company with an [[Goomba (Super Paper Mario character)|unnamed Goomba]], Gary eventually finds [[Luigi]] laying unconscious. Having convinced Luigi to act as their bodyguard, they continue to venture through the castle. Eventually, they find a dead end, and they are caught by [[Nastasia]], who hypnotizes and brainwashes Gary into serving Count Bleck. Gary then helps hold down Luigi for Nastasia so she can [[Mr. L|hypnotize]] him into serving Count Bleck as well.


After wandering around aimlessly in Count Bleck's castle, [[Castle Bleck]], Gary and his unnamed Goomba companion find an unconscious [[Luigi]]. When he wakes up, they ply him with insincere flattery in order to use him as a bodyguard. After traveling with Luigi for some time and whispering snide remarks about him under their breath, Gary and his Goomba friend come upon a dead-end in Count Bleck's castle. Before they can turn back, Gary is zapped by [[Nastasia]]'s hypnotic powers and transformed into a mindless servant of Count Bleck. Gary is last seen attacking Luigi along with his Goomba companion, who, at the sight of Gary being brainwashed, willingly joined Count Bleck's side because he says it is the winning side.

Gary is an ordinary Goomba and a member of Bowser's army, the Koopa Troop. In Super Paper Mario, Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to Princess Peach and later, to Count Bleck's castle. After the events of Chapter 2-4, in company with an unnamed Goomba, Gary eventually finds Luigi laying unconscious. Having convinced Luigi to act as their bodyguard, they continue to venture through the castle. Eventually, they find a dead end, and they are caught by Nastasia, who hypnotizes and brainwashes Gary into serving Count Bleck. Gary then helps hold down Luigi for Nastasia so she can hypnotize him into serving Count Bleck as well.
