'''Gary''' is a rather ordinary [[Goomba]] and a member of [[Bowser]]'s legion of minions, the [[Koopa Troop]].

In ''[[Super Paper Mario]]'', Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to [[Princess Peach]] and later, to [[Count Bleck]]'s castle. After the events of Chapter 2-4, in company with an [[Goomba (Super Paper Mario character)|unnamed Goomba]], Gary eventually finds [[Luigi]] laying unconscious. Having convinced Luigi to act as their bodyguard, they continue to venture through the castle. Eventually, they find a dead end, and they are caught by [[Nastasia]], who hypnotizes and brainwashes Gary into serving Count Bleck. After wandering around aimlessly in Count Bleck's castle, [[Castle Bleck]], Gary and his Goomba companion find an unconscious [[Luigi]], whom they, after complimenting him and telling him how great he is, use as a bodyguard. After traveling with Luigi for some time and whispering snide remarks about him under their breath, Gary and his Goomba friend come upon a dead-end in Count Bleck's castle.

Before either Luigi, Gary, or the other Goomba can turn back though, Gary is zapped by [[Nastasia]]'s hypnotic powers and transformed into a mindless servant of Count Bleck. Gary is last seen attacking Luigi along with his Goomba companion, who, at the sight of Gary being brainwashed, willingly joined Count Bleck's side.
 
Presumably, he is one of the Goombas encountered in Castle Bleck (though more than once, two Goombas are seen together). Depending on whether the player chooses to fight him, he might or might not be killed during this time.

Gary is an ordinary Goomba and a member of Bowser's army, the Koopa Troop. In Super Paper Mario, Gary is one of the many Goombas transported to Bowser's wedding to Princess Peach and later, to Count Bleck's castle. After the events of Chapter 2-4, in company with an unnamed Goomba, Gary eventually finds Luigi laying unconscious.
