Super Mario series[edit]

Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic / Super Mario Bros. 2 / Super Mario All-Stars / Super Mario Advance[edit]

Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic marks the first appearance of "Ground BGM". When that game was later redeveloped as Super Mario Bros. 2, the theme was given slightly more enhanced instrumentation and an additional partition at the end, which is the version subsequent appearances of the theme in the Super Mario franchise are based on. The Super Mario Bros. 2 version is also included in the following official albums:

The SNES remake of Super Mario Bros. 2 in Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World, and Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition, contains its own arrangement of "Underground BGM", which plays for the same purpose as in the original game.

The Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Advance, contains its own arrangement of "Underground BGM", which plays for the same purpose as in the original game. This arrangement plays in a slightly higher pitch, aside from the drums and percussion.
