Fire Shooters[1][2] are enemies introduced in Super Mario Galaxy. They are similar to Water Shooters, but as their name suggests, they shoot fire instead of water. They resemble the nozzle part of FLUDD from Super Mario Sunshine, except in red.
History[edit]
Super Mario Galaxy[edit]
Fire Shooters first appear in Super Mario Galaxy. They are completely stationary and invincible, and their nozzles spew a stream of flames at Mario or Luigi. There is one unique Fire Shooter in Toy Time Galaxy, which is larger and shoots fireballs in a straight line instead of spewing fire. It appears within Mecha-Bowser's mouth in the galaxy's first mission, serving as its "fire breath".
Flame-spewing Fire Shooters appear in the following list of galaxies. If no mission is stated, they appear during all missions:
- Bowser's Star Reactor
- Toy Time Galaxy ("Bouncing Down Cake Lane")
- Deep Dark Galaxy ("Bubble Blastoff")
- Bubble Blast Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]
Fire Shooters return in Super Mario Galaxy 2, only appearing in Bowser's Galaxy Generator. They now have the behavior of Mecha-Boser's fireball-shooting Fire Shooter, while being the size of the usual flame-spewing variant.
Names in other languages[edit]
The contemporaneous name for each language is listed first. Subsequent names are listed in chronological order for each language, from oldest to newest, and have the media with which they are associated in the "Notes" column. Names exclusive to localizations of the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia are not prioritized due to concerns about circular reporting, and are only listed first for their respective languages if they are the only ones available.
