Picross NP Vol.8 is a puzzle game released exclusively in Japan for the Super Famicom by Nintendo via the Nintendo Power cartridge service. The game is the final entry in the Picross NP series, and its "Character" mode puzzles are themed after Donkey Kong Country and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, with the Ocarina of Time puzzles being carried over from Picross NP Vol.5.

Modes[edit]

As with the previous entries, Picross NP Vol.8 has seven modes, these being "Beginner", "Regular", "Professional", "Character", "Special", "Extra", and "Battle". The game has the same amount of puzzles per mode as both Vol.6 and Vol.7.

Beginner[edit]

The game's "Beginner" mode has 24 puzzles, with twelve being original and twelve having been reused from previous entries in the Picross NP series. As with the "Beginner" modes of previous Picross NP games, the "Beginner" mode in Vol.8 features puzzles with generic subjects, with the grid size increasing every four puzzles. The grid size begins at 5x5, grows to 10x10, and then ends at 15x15 with "1-L", with the count then resetting.
