Much like the inclusion of Luigi Bros. (a port of Mario Bros.) in Super Mario 3D World, a port of the original Super Mario Bros. is included in NES Remix 2 (and NES Remix Pack) titled Super Luigi Bros., albeit with some changes. In this version, Luigi is the main playable character instead of Mario, functioning as he does in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (excluding the low traction), and all of the game's levels are mirrored (i.e. the player moves through levels from right to left). In addition, the game's ending is altered: upon saving Princess Peach, Luigi finds that Mario has already saved her first. It is possible to execute the Minus World glitch in this version, but due to Luigi's higher jumps, it is harder to do so than in the original game.
The game is based on Remix Is sixteenth stage, which is a challenge featuring Luigi going through World 1-2 backwards, in the original NES Remix. It marks the sixth and final game to celebrate the Year of Luigi and the only such game to be released in 2014.

Super Luigi Bros.

The game is based on Remix I's sixteenth stage, which is a challenge featuring Luigi going through World 1-2 backwards, in the original NES Remix. It marks the sixth and final game to celebrate the Year of Luigi and the only such game to be released in 2014.
