Canyon Layer Challenge Courses

Big-Wheel Balloon Hunt is the third Challenge Course within the Canyon Layer of Donkey Kong Bananza. Its entrance can be found next to a mine cart and the Big-Stretch Base Getaway in sublayer 300.

Layout[edit]

The course consists of a large Slippery Neptunite cylinder on its side. On the base of this cylinder is a ring of dirt, which spins counterclockwise. Five Banana Balloons appear in the course. Four appear inside the dirt ring, while one is above the dirt ring. While most of the balloons are out in the open, the left balloon is covered by a grate.

Banandium Gems[edit]

31 One of Canyon Layer's Banandium Gems Big-Wheel Basement The second Banandium Gem appears on a platform below the cylinder. It can be accessed by digging through dirt in the floor that is covered by the bottom of the dirt wheel or by jumping around the cylinder directly onto the cylinder. A Barrel Cannon allows DK to return to the start of the area.
32 One of Canyon Layer's Banandium Gems Big-Wheel Back Room The third Banandium Gem appears inside the cylinder in a room behind a one-way breakable gate. The entrance to this room can be reached by climbing a Neptunite path around the right side of the cylinder.
